Those wheels are the ugliest wheels ever made and they are heavy AF at 29 lbs smfh for gods sake lose 40 lbs of rotating mass bro and get an extended shifter the stock ones are lame AF. Forget the 19's bro get some 18's they are lighter and look better.

Nice upgrades Pete. I went with the Neuspeed Big brake kit, a little more money, bt well worth it. Of course I have a GTI, but after putting the big APR Turbo on, I needed to do some serious brake upgrades. I'll be tracking the car this fall over at South Jersey Motorsports.

the tires on the front should be reverse staggered from the rear so it should be 255/30/19 in the front on 8.5" wide wheels and 235/35/19 on an 8" wheel. Thats probably why it looks higher in the front. For handling mods, Id definitely do the subframe inserts and at least the dogbone mount if not the trand and engine mounts as well. If you ever plan on going with a downpipe and staying on the stock turbo the sound you get with the midpipes has a good bit of volume so you might not need an exhaust. For the shifts, while a tcu tune isnt needed for clamping pressure, it really helps with faster shifts especially at redline full throttle.

Hey just got an rs3 keep an eye out for the exhaust rattle from cold start. It’s very common issue with these cars. Theres a metal pin in the valve that is lose from factory some people believe it’s because of heat pressure in different climates however they cause the exhaust to have this annoying rattling noise

I did this on my MK8 GTI with DCC. Total waste of money and time. It was undrivable until recalibrating the DCC. After that, it still bottomed out across every imperfection on the highway. Do not do this with a DCC. That suspension cost you $2500, and it is a great suspension. Wait until it's shot and put coilovers in. Highly recommend adding camber/caster top mounts though.

Hey Pete, I'm considering selling my RS5 8t and switching to the RS3 DAZA. You've driven both, so maybe you can tell me which one drives better? The RS3 is definitely much faster because, on stage 2 with 500hp, it can do 100-200 km/h in 7.5 seconds, while the RS5 takes 10 seconds. I've heard a lot of opinions that the RS3 is like a Golf on steroids and, apart from the 5-cylinder sound, it doesn't offer much more

I've heard some bad stories about IE tunes and that they are too aggressive etc. everyone is saying safest is 034 motorsport. what are your thoughts?

I had my mk6 for 7 years. Aside from the recall for the emissions, I had zero issues. I had 110k miles (50k when I bought it), I miss it everyday. But I never once changed the spark plugs.

I have the APR TCU tune on my 2017 GTI with the DQ250, love the tune. I have done the dog bone mount stage 1, I love the way it shifts in drive or manual after switching to sport. I almost never use sport because the rpm’s stay high all the time which prevents you from using all the low-end torque of the IS20.

Instead of the rs3 u should’ve just swapped in the daza to the R 🙌🏽😼

did you have to recalibrate your DCC on he VWR springs ? I remember asking someone in forums about springs and they'd mentioned they had to recalibrate theirs and I was curious as to how that's done or even necessary

Personally, I don’t like the front amber deletes. Others looks good 👍. I love badgeskins, I used them on my golf r, and current rs3 also.

Mine was too loud and peak loud and raspy was 2.5K-3.5K deafening. Added the vibrant resonater and worked great.

Can confirm 7.5 GTI is great in city driving. And with these drivers, it’s a lifesaver. Ducked a few close calls and been here a month😅
